The presentations at this site cover a long time period. Each one represents part of an on-going Pilgrimage, and the writer's ideas, practices, and experience have changed over time. This change is the quality of any living Journey. Please read with this in mind, allowing the inner Teacher to speak to you as you need at this particular time in your own living Journey. Thanks!

The obstinate will to personal happiness is the cause of unrest and division in your soul. Give it up and work against it: the rest will be given you without effort.

Pure Prayer takes you out of yourself
This taking out of is a healthy denial of the pursuit of happiness
Prayer leads us to see the insubstantial nature of happiness
The Prayerful Being does not seek Grace for personal pleasure
Rather, Grace opens to Life prior to personal
The Prayerful Being may not appear to be a happy person
The Prayerful Being may seem, in some inexplicable way, to convey an impersonal Quality
Prayer of the Heart leads us to a stream of Life underlying happiness and personhood
This Life shines through the Prayerful Person appearing as calm, quiet bliss Presence unlimited by personality
What the world most needs you to offer in compassion is not you as person, but you as conduit of effortless, graceful Presence
For you to do this you must surrender craving for personal experience to receive the Grace virgin of qualities of person and its experiences
